FROM THE PREVENTIVE COUNTER-REBELLION… TO THE JUNTA DIVERSION

The law for the restriction of protests will be crashed on the Streets

The world of bosses is wavering. The angry screams of the rebellion from the capitalist periphery reached its center, while the deafening sound of the uprising in the heart of the Empire scattered any doubt that the “quiet days”, if ever existed, belong to the past. The estimations of all the regime’s advocates about the “exhaustion of resistance” of the oppressed people are thrown daily into the rubbish of history.

The state-capitalist decay, the complete bankruptcy of the power system is underlined as a universal reality through the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, on the basis of the capital’s crisis. Throughout the world, as in the already bankrupt Greek state, the ascertainment is simple: when the carrots run out, more sticks are coming out. The gluttony of the bosses for ever greater profits leaves no room for any illusions about the distribution of social wealth. The thick state funds are not directed towards the affected labor class, but are invested as a bribe in the media in order to produce even more intense and effective propaganda and to silence the massacre of the social base that has already begun.

The beatings in the squares after the quarantine’s end, the occupation of Exarcheia, the threats and evictions of squats, the attacks against demonstrations- with the first de facto implementation of the ban on the labor motorcycle march on June 11th and the arrest of 46 militants, the conspiracy against the comrades Kalaitzidis-Mataragas, the continuous prosecutions of anarchists, the waste of millions on equipment for the repressive forces and ultimately the bill that aims to curb and suppress protests have one thing in common: the fear of power in the face of dangerous social classes, against the rise of the insurgent dignity of the plebeians against this unbearable world of exploitation and oppression.

The doctrine of “zero tolerance” is upgraded to a unified strategy of Preventive Counter-Rebellion, which is essentially based on junta law provisions. The bosses and political staff who manage the state and guard its monopoly of violence know very well the bleak situation they are heading to. The plunder of the working majority has no precedent, not even in the context of the 2010 crisis. Their experience during the last phase of popular uprising, and their horror that an even stronger clash against their power will break out by a revolted and better organized social and class movement from below, places the prevention of violent repression at the center of their priorities. This bill calls for the European orientation of modern totalitarianism, while its roots lie deep within the junta tradition of the Greek extreme right.

The presence of the riot police on the islands, for the creation of closed detention centers, and on the borders, in order to deal with the “invasion” of displaced migrants and refugees, the unpgraded role of the police during quarantine, the breaking of university asylum by the invasion of riot police and an armed cop in the University of Economics in Athens, the constant and increasing presence of police in the public spaces and social life demonstrates that the state’s mercenary occupation army is upgraded to a totalitarian and ubiquitous force of the bosses. The anti-protest bill itself directly grants police equal powers to a prosecutor, since the Police Administrator can decide, as he sees fit, which of protests are classified as radical and should be broken up by force. It is obvious that, in addition to the broader aim of restricting social struggle itself, the state hopes that by this bill will break up radicalism, the main expression of which was the anarchist movement over the years since the change of the regime.

This administration in combination with a series of political choices highlights the everlasting desire for the extinction of the culture of disobedience and revolt that is expressed as a viable possibility for the social eruptions from below. The passing of the bills on education and the environment, in a period of the quarantine, and the anti-protest bill are actually a unified body of political reforms aiming to the dissolution of the period after the fall of the Junta, a paradigm that has been linked to the biggest victories of the people and plebeians against the beast of state and capitalism that leads to people and nature to destruction.

The bourgeoisie knows better than anyone that the crisis of the capitalistic system has reached a disproportionate level because of the world-wide pandemic. They are well aware that the millions of impoverished people will be fed up by the bosses’ propaganda; the rods of the praetorians will have to take over. It is our duty to prepare with patience and dynamism the social basis for a generalized conflict with its oppressors, to upgrade the revolutionary organization to the detriment of reformist formations which humiliate and sell off the people’s struggles. It is our duty to convince the social body by the example of the uncompromising struggle, standing once again in the front line, the only natural position of every anarchist proposal and imperative, setting up barricades, turning social peaks into revolutionary material. If we live, it will be in order to step on the heads of the kings.

NO TRUCE WITH THE REGIME OF TERROR

NO COMPROMISE WITH THE STATE, THE BOSSES AND THE POLICE GANGS

THE PEOPLE IS AND WILL BE THE ONLY ONE TO DETERMINE THE FIGHT OF OPPRESSED

UNTIL VICTORY
