December 5th: National day of solidarity with the squats
Call for participation in the solidarity demonstrations in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patra
Against state repression…NO STEP BACK!
Since last August, the repressive campaign of the state against the anarchist movement, the squatted spaces of struggle, the self-organized structures for immigrants and refugees, social and class resistance is underway. This attack is the spearhead of state’s and bosses’ aggressiveness towards the majority of society that aims to the dissolution of social struggles, to the terrorization and extermination of the people of the struggle, to the imposition of submission and obedience to society, in order to proceed uninterruptedly with the advance of state and capitalist brutality, which entails poverty, impoverishment, cannibalism and death.
On November 20th, the Ministry of Civil Protection issued an ultimatum, according to which all squatted buildings in the Greek territory should be evacuated within the next 15 days. This announcement is the next step of the ongoing repressive campaign, an ultimatum with the sole purpose to blackmail the people who struggle through political structures and to criminalize solidarity, in order to end once and for all with the squats and the self-organized structures of the movement which are points of reference of the anarchist and antiauthoritarian struggle and of social and class resistance in general.
As long as the squatted and self-organized spaces of life and struggle are threatened by the fascist state’s violence, they will continue to symbolize a territory liberated by occupation forces, the actual possibility of society to challenge, revolt and get self-organized against the exploitation system of the state and capitalism. We call everyone: the people of the struggle, the youth, the workers, the students to join the struggle, in every social field, against state repression, in order to fight back, to claim a world without oppressors and oppressed, a society of freedom, justice and equality.
As Anarchist Political Organization we participate, support and call on the mobilizations in solidarity with the squats which will take place on Thursday, December 5th.
