MESSAGE OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE STRUGGLE IN ROJAVA
EVERY STATE THAT FIGHTS AGAINST THE PEOPLES WILL BE DEFEATED!
The paradigm of democratic federalism is still rooted in Rojava, challenging the state organization of society. It is developing within the destroyed by colonialism, imperialism and nationalisms territory of the Middle East, based on the historical experience of society and collective heritage. It is promoting the organizational structure of a self-administrated society, where all social groups and all cultural, religious and national identities can participate, be expressed and function in common, through the local and interlocal communes and councils, based on direct democracy, pursuing unity though diversity. It is happening in contrast to the construction of a nation-state that carries a history of four centuries of violence, wars, cultural and natural genocides of whole populations, violent assimilation of minorities, cultures and languages in the name of national homogeneity, and concentrated bureaucratic way of exerting the authority, imposed by the state over societies.
The hard struggle that is taking place in the Kurdish territories of Rojava, promoting democratic federalism, does not aim to establish one more nation-state and, thus, to replace the old shackles with new ones. Focusing on the local level, with ecology and feminism as its main pillars, it builds, in the present, the structures of social organization and self-defense against the state, capitalist and fascist attacks and reestablishes politics, as a part of social life. It is territorialized today in Rojava and attempts to find its steps in countries, where Kurdish populations are living (in Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Iran), aiming to inspire and affect the people of Middle East and beyond in building the structures of universal democratic federalist union of communities, in parallel and in competition to the state capitalist organization of society.
Today that modern totalitarianism attempts to impose repression and exploitation as the only feasible living prospect, the examples of Lorenzo and the comrades that fight in Rojava incorporate the dimension of the material expression of the revolution we all envision, within a process that Kurds, Arabs, Westerners, men and women, people of the struggle from different starting points, are fighting and are building.Against the unbearable present and future, promised by the state and capitalism.
Internationalist solidarity is a critical point for the repressed in order to respond to the upcoming generalization of the authoritarian war. And, at this critical point, the presence of internationalists in the region of Kurdistan proves that internationalism is, besides an urgent and necessary aim, already a process in motion. Our comrades that are struggling there from all over the world give a battle in that small corner, which is for all the world. This process of internationalist solidarity, but also of the connection of these struggles, we wish to deepen and expand until the time we can stand up against this global regime of exploitation and submission, whenever it strikes.
The example of federalist organization of the communities in Rojava proves that self-organization from below and social life, through collective self-administration, are not abstract and forgotten ideas, but living history. The living history of the struggles, which rushes into the present to change the future, led by all those who gave their lives for our common struggle.
