The fascist parade in honor of Fascist General Lukov has been going on for about 15 years in Sofia. In recent years, an initiative by anarchists and anti-fascists, spearheaded by the Antifa Sofia assembly, has been attempting to block the fascist presence on the streets of the city.
For the fourth year in a row, as the Anarchist Political Organization – Federation of Collectives, we participated with our own block in the protest with a banner “Internationalist solidarity will sweep the fascist threat in the Balkans – Against borders, war and modern totalitarianism” and protested against fascism by supporting the comrades there, who in recent years have been trying – under fairly difficult circumstances – to build embankments in the advance of neo-Nazi groups gathered there from all over Europe while attempting to create stable structures and fronts to resist the attack of state, capital, fascists and mafias.
The anti-fascist demonstration in Sofia was supported by more than 200 anti-fascists from Bulgaria and other balkan and european countries, forming in that way another point of internationalist solidarity against modern totalitarianism, war and fascism..
The promotion of nationalism and racism, the accentuation of inter-state antagonisms, the threat of war, the depth of the misery and exploitation of the “people from below” by the antisocial policies of the sovereign states, the promotion of fascist and neo-Nazi groupings are all we have to fight on every side of the border.
For our part, we must make it clear that, against the world of power, which reserves for the repressed even more exploitation, war and uprooting of whole societies, there is the world of struggle which is relentlessly fighting fascism, the state and the capital with our eyes on building a society of equality, solidarity and freedom; and this world will win!
INTERNATIONALIST SOLIDARITY WILL SWEEP THE FASCIST THREAT IN BALKANS
AGAINST THE BORDERD, WAR AND MODERN TOTALITARIANISM
FOR THE SOCIAL REVOLUTION, LIBERTARIAN COMMUNISM AND ANARCHY
